STUDIOS

A sustainable development set on the banks of the fish river, right in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. While the physical studios are still under development, the location features a rich palette of offerings including a private beach, game park, golf course and luxury resort.

WHO WE ARE

Fish Studios

Fish Studios was conceptualised to HARNESS AND DEVELOP the Eastern Cape Film and Television industries. In partnership with the ECDC (Eastern Cape Development Corporation) We have set out plans to build 2 world class film studios on site. Currently the site hosts a multitude of productions on the backlots and the vast landscapes which include beaches, a golf course and the African bush. Previously the Fish River Sun, the resort can accommodate upwards of 200 people and provides all necessary requirements for any production.

making it easy

Fish Studios has secured rights for producers which include road closures, beach access for vehicles and left hand drive vehicles just to name a few. Contact us with your requirements so we can customise your experience.

workforce

Fish Studios has secured a  comprehensive list of all black owned vendors, within an hour’s drive. To add to that we have partnered with the Tswane University of Technology who will be running a film school from the premises. Giving you access to more hands and eager bodies.

IT'S MORE THAN A MODEL, IT'S A MANTRA

FORUS Digital Tools are used to create financing instruments and truth room facilities, to enable the leveraging of all opportunities to regenerate the economy in a sustainable and ethical way.
Alongside other big projects, the Fish Studios will become the main hub, kick-starting the Eastern Cape and facilitating us testing ubiquity.

Sustainability

REBATES UP TO 30%

Key role players in the South African film industry have acknowledged the critical need for a unified front adopting universal, standardised measures to mitigate the extremely serious environmental impact of local and international film productions in South Africa.
